CALL TO WORSHIP
Give thanks to the Lord, for God is good.
God's steadfast love endures forever.
Through every season, God remains faithful.
Through every storm, God remains near.
Let us lift our hearts in praise.
Let us worship the Lord with joy.

Gracious and merciful God, we confess that we often resist the very work you are doing within us. When we face uncertainty, we cling to control instead of trusting you. When suffering comes, we question your presence instead of resting in your promises. Yet you are the God who never abandons us in our struggles. You are at work even when we cannot see it. Forgive us, O God. Teach us to trust you in times of pressure and to believe that your love is shaping us even now. Through Jesus Christ our Lord we pray. Amen.

In you, Lord my God, I put my trust. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.
Show me your ways, Lord; teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.
Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.
Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish.
Look on my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins.
Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.
May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, Lord, is in you.

I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen

Faith begins by letting go, giving up what had seemed sure,
taking risks and pressing on, though the way feels less secure:
pilgrimage both right and odd, trusting all our life to God.
Faith endures by holding on, keeping memory’s roots alive
so that hope may bear its fruit; promise-fed, our souls will thrive,
not through merit we possess but by God’s great faithfulness.
Faith matures by reaching out, stretching minds, enlarging hearts,
sharing struggles, living prayer, binding up the broken parts;
till we find the common place ripe with witness to God’s grace.
