WELCOME and ANNOUNCEMENTS
CALL TO WORSHIP
Let us open our hearts and minds to the presence of God.
We come with gratitude and praise.
Together, let us lift our voices in song and prayer.
We worship with joy and thanksgiving.
For God is good, and God's love endures forever.
Blessed be the name of the Lord!
*OPENING HYMN #1 (red) Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty
*CALL TO CONFESSION and *PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved You with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the ways we have failed to embody Your love and grace, forgive us, Lord. Grant us the strength to turn from our sinful ways, and to seek Your face with renewed hearts. We pray through Your Son Jesus Christ, Amen.

LITANY FOR FATHERS
Today we celebrate our fathers.
Thank you, God, for giving us fathers.
We celebrate all the men who have loved us, nurtured us, corrected us, and encouraged us.
Thank you, God, for the men who served as examples and Christian role models.
We remember with deep gratitude all the ways they demonstrated their love for us.
We remember how they cared for us, protected us, guided us, and taught us,
We thank God that even in their imperfections, they were present and engaged in our lives.
For the blessings of fathers and father-figures, we give thanks today.

PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION
Loving God, by your Holy Spirit, open our minds and our hearts, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may be led into Your truth and taught Your will. We pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.
SCRIPTURE READING
Psalm 25: 1, 4-9
1 In you, Lord my God, I put my trust.
4 Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths.
5 Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.
6 Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,
for they are from of old.
7 Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good.
8 Good and upright is the Lord; he instructs sinners in his ways.
9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.
