       Lord, for this joy, we give you thanks.
       Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. PROGRESSIVE SUPPER: Attention all Youth in grades 7-12!   
Today Sunday, October 28th at 4:30 PM, we will meet at the church for a Youth-only Progressive Supper enjoying supper at the homes of church volunteers. This is a great opportunity to connect with your church family!  Please bring your friends to join in the fun!
 
FELLOWSHIP AND OUTREACH committee meeting on November 1st from 7-9 p.m. will be followed by a kitchen inventory work day.
 
WORLD COMMUNITY DAY 2018: Church Women United will celebrate World Community Day on Nov. 2, 2018 at First Lutheran Church, 8th Street & Main Ave, Brookings, SD, at 2:00 PM in the main Chapel.  All Christian men and women are invited to this gathering.
 
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING will be held Sunday November 4 following the worship service.
 
THE WORSHIP COMMITTEE needs help!  Halloween is just around the corner – then Thanksgiving and then Christmas sneaks up on us!  The Worship Committee hopes you all have a fun set of holidays and we’d like to remind you that on one of those holiday weekends, we’ll be decorating the sanctuary for another one of those holidays.  We’ll need help on Thanksgiving Sunday – right after the service!  Mark it on your calendars and join us if you can!
