Leader: Advent season speaks to us about God’s love for us and for all creation.
All: The Scripture says: “God saw everything that he made, and indeed, it was very good.”
Leader: God’s love far exceeds even what was demonstrated in creation.
All: God came to us in Jesus Christ, that we might know his love personally and call him Lord, Friend, and Savior.
Leader: In this season of celebration, let us open our hearts to the love of God.
All: Lord, may we love others as you have loved us, that all may be drawn to your light.
ADVENT CANDLE LIGHTING
Lighting of the candle and Scripture Reading Hebrews 10:5-7 by Bob Bartling and Bruce Westergaard.
*HYMN # 23 "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" PRAYER OF CONFESSION Holy God, it is never easy for us to confess our sins. Forgive us. God draw near to us. When we have lost our way, show us yours. Lead us in humility down the streets of your kingdom. Teach us your truth and instruct us in the way of love, so we might be able to keep your Word, revealed to us in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
