*PRAYER OF CONFESSION
You have called us to follow what is good, yet we have done what separates us from you.  Adrift, we have been divided within and at odds with others.  Do not let us grow deaf to your voice of love.  Call us again and aid us, that we may hear and obey.  Comforted by your love and held by your strength, let us fulfill our days forgiven and at peace, through your Son Jesus Christ.  Amen.

OUR TIME OF PRAYER & THE LORD’S PRAYER
Lord, for this joy, we give you thanks.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen

                                                                 DEDICATION OF MEMORIAL GIFTS
Large and small gifts are given to First Presbyterian Church as memorials to friends and families.  The Memorial Fund Committee receives those gifts and uses the funds to purchase items needed by the church.  Occasionally family members or donors of the person being honored request that the funds be used in a specific area of the church.  Other times an item is requested by a committee or group in the church and purchased with undesignated funds.  The Committee works to use funds in ways that seem appropriate or meaningful to the person being remembered.  We thank all of you who support First Presbyterian Church through memorial gifts.
