Pastor: God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness.”
All: He gives the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face
of Christ.
Pastor: God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, no longer holding
our misdeeds against us.
All: Let this reconciliation, O God, renew us all. Amen.
*HYMN #85 “What Wondrous Love Is This”
*PRAYER OF CONFESSION
You have called us to follow what is good, yet we have done what separates us from you. Adrift, we have been divided within and at odds with others. Do not let us grow deaf to your voice of love. Call us again and aid us, that we may hear and obey. Comforted by your love and held by your strength, let us fulfill our days forgiven and at peace, through your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
