*CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: We have received a new covenant through Christ.
All: With broken bread and shared cup we celebrate this covenant.
Leader: At table with Christ we receive a new commandment.
All: We are called to love one another as Christ loves us.
Leader: In thanks to God, we become a servant to others.
All: We are ready to follow Christ and be agents of the kingdom of God in the world.
*HYMN #98 “O Sacred Head, Now Wounded”
*PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Gracious God, we confess that the feast that was given to us that we might be one has become the cause of disunity. It is you who makes us worthy. Help us to set aside differences that we might truly receive what has been passed on to us. May we eat this bread and drink this cup not as a means of separating ourselves from others, but as a means of your grace in our lives. Amen.
* SILENT PRAYERS OF CONFESSION
