Leader: We know that God is with us.
All: In our every day, during times of worry and times of anticipation.
Leader: We gather this morning to set aside our distractions and remind
each other of this simple truth,
All: God is with us.
Leader: So with thanks in our hearts,
All: Let us worship God.
*HYMN #412 “Eternal God, Whose Power Upholds”
*PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Sometimes, God, we get caught planning, thinking we can do it all on our own, forgetting that all plans work through you. Then we get so caught up in our own plans that we forget people, or we toss them aside – the difficult ones, the needy ones, the ones that are hard to spend time with. We do this because we are uncomfortable, or are unsure what to say or do. It is so much easier to be with brighter, shinier people than with those who might truly need us. We are in such desperate need of your direction and your forgiveness. We need to be forgiven for our sin, for our mistakes, for mistaking what the world values with what you value. Help us to be better, and to listen to you more carefully. In Christ we pray. Amen.

OUR TIME OF PRAYER & THE LORD’S PRAYER
Lord, for this joy, we give you thanks.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen

PSALM 77:1-2, 11-14 (read responsively)
1 I cry aloud to God,
aloud to God, that he may hear me.
2 In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord;
in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying;
my soul refuses to be comforted.
11 I will call to mind the deeds of the LORD;
I will remember your wonders of old.
12 I will meditate on all your work,
and muse on your mighty deeds.
13 Your way, O God, is holy.
What god is so great as our God?
14 You are the God who works wonders;
you have displayed your might among the peoples.
IF DESIRING A VISIT: If you or a family member are in the hospital and you wish a visit, please contact the church office or any Deacon or Elder. Due to privacy laws, the hospitals are not permitted to contact churches or reply to church’s inquiries. If you know of anyone who needs or desires any other pastoral care, please also contact us. During this time when we do not have a pastor, we should each do our part as Jesus designed to “carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
