*GREETING ONE ANOTHER
*CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Just as the body is made up of many parts, so we gather from different backgrounds. We come, bringing different talents and gifts; different experiences and different perspectives to worship the One True God; the God Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth. Come let us worship Him. Everyone who has come to worship God, offer thanks.
All: Thank you, God, for loving us.
Leader: Everyone who brings hurts and joy, prayers and praise, offer thanks.
All: Thank you, God, for healing us.
Leader: Everyone who has been touched by God’s mercy and grace, offer thanks.
All: Thank you, God, for saving us. Amen.
*HYMN #341 “Blessed Assurance, Jesus is Mine!”
*PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Leader: I John 1:9 tells us that if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Therefore, let us confess our sins together.
ALL: Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart and mind and strength. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. In your mercy forgive what we have been, help us amend what we are, and direct what we shall be, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
*ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Leader: Hear the good news—God is a just and forgiving Father. Because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!
All: Thanks be to God!
