PREPARATION FOR WORSHIP
“Sing lustily, and with good courage…Sing modestly, and do not howl above others…Sing in time, and be sure to keep with the time…Above all, sing spiritually.  Have an eye to God in eve3ry word you sing.  Aim at pleasing God more than yourself, or any other creature.  In order to do this, attend strictly to the sense of what you sing, and see that your Heart is not carried away with the sound, but offered to God continually; so shall your singing be such as the Lord would approve here, and reward you when he cometh in the clouds of heaven.”

OUR TIME OF PRAYER & THE LORD’S PRAYER
Lord, for this joy, we give you thanks.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

HARVEST TABLE: First Presbyterian Church will be serving the Harvest Table on Monday, September 16, with the Men’s Brotherhood cooking.  Volunteers will be needed to complete the project.  Please sign up on the sheet on the volunteer bulletin board. We anticipate the cost will be approximately $500 and would request your support of this project.  Thank you!

THE SOUTH DAKOTA PRESBYTERY MEETING will be hosted by First Presbyterian Church on October 25th.  Session is requesting an ad-hoc committee to plan and carry out our part of the meeting.  Work will range from planning meals and refreshments and facilities to setting up on the meeting day.
